Either the adds are bogus or of my 20 perfect matches or the other 20 I responded NOT one wrote me back except a lady who said she cancelled her add months ago. These people seem to be stalking women but dont want to put that in their add or as 1 person just wanted my google voice code (never give that away) to spoof my phone number from overseas. I was just looking for a room to rent while I look to buy a Condo or house. I decided to buy a Mobile home so I am not mad, it was a good investment at this time. But this site Craiglist (which is even worse, never use that you will only get sickos on there now) or senior home shares or any site. Its all a scam by the owners of the site or the people offering these great rooms for cheap (especially if you are a woman) and then when you check the adds they dont own the house. I have seen the same pictures of beautiful balconies that can exist in Las Vegas cause those trees dont grow here. But numerous adds have the same pictures. If you have a friend get a 2 or 3 bedroom with someone you know, these sites and especially this one avoid at all costs, waste of time and money at the least. I am sure worst has happened to people.
In summary, I would not recommend Roommates.com to a friend.
